“Third time's a charm." This old adage doesn't totally apply since our previous two fundraisers were very successful. But when we
gathered for the third time on August 17th for our third annual get-together, there was once again something special about the
atmosphere at the sold-out Friesland Event Center in Hooversville, PA.
The results speak for themselves! We raised over $33,000. Our guest speaker, Jessica Lynch, is one of the Global War on Terrorism's
most famous veterans, and you could hear a pin drop as she recalled her harrowing capture and subsequent rescue during the
invasion of Iraq in April, 2003.
It was also announced that that an anonymous donor was offering a $25,000 matching challenge. Our major donor for the evening,
Robindale Energy Services, almost immediately stepped up to the plate with a check, and the matching part of the challenge was
set in motion!
The Event Center was once again provided at no charge by Curt and Liz Weyandt. There are too many amazing sponsors and
