About The Memorial

The attacks against The United States of America that took place on September 11, 2001 forever changed our Nation.

The resulting loss of life and destruction was unlike anything the country had ever experienced, comparable only to the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. 9/11 has become an infamous term in American history, and each of us remembers where we were and what we were doing on that fateful morning.

During the last 25+ years the United States Armed Forces have been engaged in the longest war in our Nation’s history. Many service members experienced multiple deployments. Families were separated for long periods of time and many endured social and financial burdens. Over 7,050 members of the U.S. Armed Forces made the ultimate sacrifice to keep us safe from terrorists and protect our freedom. Their sacrifices must be honored and never be forgotten. Your visit to Patriot Park remembers and honors them and will inspire you.

The Post-9/11 U.S. Armed Forces Memorial at Patriot Park serves as a focal point to tell the story of those who fought the Global War on Terrorism. The Memorial honors and recognizes the sacrifices of the millions of service men and women who served their country in the aftermath of 9/11.

We provide special recognition for those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the defense of our Country. The Park also honors the families of service members for the sacrifices they made in support of their loved ones.

Patriot Park hopes to motivate and inspire patriotism in all who visit so the sacrifices of our veterans to keep us safe and protect our freedom are not in vain.
