The Field of Heroes Flag Display, although originally envisioned as a temporary display, has been so well received by visitors that our Board decided it must become a permanent year-round feature at the Park. Plans are underway for:
Plans have been moving forward with the Board of Director’s vision for the future of the Post-9/11 U.S. Armed Forces Memorial at Patriot Park. Patriot Park Foundation has retained the services of a nationally recognized design firm that is known for creating powerful interpretive experiences for their clients and their guests.
Just west of the Field of Heroes, the Inspiration Plaza will house the new Eternal Walls of Remembrance. This special feature will not only remember the fallen, but it will also be a timeline of significant events of the Global War on Terrorism. The names of the heroes will be organized by the year they died in the line of duty and will be thoughtfully placed among representations of the momentous events that have occurred since September 11, 2001. This memorial is unique, because the fight against terrorism is ongoing. Our committee has taken care to ensure that the walls can be easily expanded to accommodate additional names should they be needed in the future. While we hope expansion will not be necessary, you can be certain that no hero will ever be forgotten.
